Welcome to our Valentine's Tea! A heartwarming addition to our popular Tea & Tides events that so many have come to know and love.


Our Seating Policy has changed, please pay special attention to the following:

  1. You are purchasing individual tickets.
  2. ALL TABLES only accomidate 4 guests.
  3. Due to limited seating capacity at each table, multiple reservations may be assigned to the same table.
  4. In order to guarentee a reservation for a whole table, please purchase 4 tickets.
  5. For extra clearity, please leave a note upon checkout while confirming tickets.

Frequently asked questions

Will I be seated guests from outside my reservation?

If your reservation is for less than 4 people, we will combine groups in order to maximize the use of the tables for each seating. This is a great opportunity to for a couple to be seated with another couple that they can get to know over tea. Tea is meant to be a social experience.

Can I book a room at the McKernan Inn during this event?

Yes, we would love to have you stay with us for the weekend and celebrate all the Portland has to offer for Valentine's Day. Please call 207-741-5672 for a reservation.

Menus for your events can be customized to adapt to the specific desires and personal tastes of our guests. All meals are designed and executed by our professional staff of chefs, with significant input and execution by our Culinary Arts students. Meals at SMCC are served buffet-style by our student staff. Due to the custom nature of food and beverage service, all prices shall be discussed in advance of the event with the Conferences & Events Department at SMCC. Catering services at SMCC must be provided by McKernan Inn & Events or Sodexo Dining Services, unless renters are given express written permission by the Conferences & Events manager.
