Dan Stewart
Veterans Benefits Specialist II
Washington State Department of Veterans Affiars
Dan enlisted in the Marines as a junior in high school as part of the delayed entry program. After boot camp he received training to become an OV-10 Bronco Plane Captain and Engine Mechanic at VMO-1, MCAS New River, NC. He traveled around the world a couple of times and never had to “float” which was fine with him.
When his enlistment ended he became an Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic and worked for a flight school and Hawaiian Airlines for a spell. He hung up his wrenches and pursued a successful 20-year carrier in Sales & Marketing for five different Radio and Television companies in his hometown of Seattle, WA.
Dan has been married to his amazing wife Terri for thirty-four years and helped raise three smart and beautiful adult daughters. Now it is finally time for Dan to follow his main passion - giving back full-time and getting Veterans and their Dependents everything they are owed with the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs.
In his down time Dan enjoys the Seahawks, music, cooking for friends and family and riding his BMW motorcycle everywhere he can.
