Maximizing Freshness, Minimizing Food Waste

By Seed St. Louis

Overview

Learn the best crops to grow, storage techniques, and more to reduce food waste!

Over 40% of the food wasted in the US comes from the home, meaning you can directly address it. In this class you can learn the best crops to grow for long term storage, the best way to store the produce you grow and buy, what food labels actually mean, and what food preservation techniques work best for you. This is the second of three classes we are teaching in partnership with Table to Garden and we will have delicious waste-reducing food samples in this class as well for you to try.

This class will be located at the Delmar Divine at 5501 Delmar Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63112 in the Ameren Multipurpose Room. There is free street parking all along Belt Avenue.
