Max King playing "The Beatles" and special guest Demi Clara
Overview
Max King is a local singer songwriter and fronts the band “Whats Vital”. Upon seeing the tribute act “the Fab Four” earlier this year, he found himself unable to stop learning Beatles covers and wishes to share the joy of those songs with the lovely people of Chicago.
Demi Clara is a singer-songwriter from the suburbs of Chicago! She has played places like Uncommon Ground, Fitzgerald’s, The Venue, Hey Nonny, Golden Dagger, The Underdog (Nashville) and more. She is inspired by artists like Jeff Tweedy, Phoebe Bridgers, Conor Oberst, Glen Hansard, Lucinda Williams, Todd Snider, Hayes Carll, John Prine and more! She write songs about funny stories in her childhood that serve to be self-deprecating metaphors for her adult life (“Tongue Tied”), relationships and navigating heartbreak (“Come Back In”, and loss and self-esteem and mental health challenges, sexuality (“The Way”, and growing up in her twenties, etc. Demi love’s spreading messages of empathy and writing about other people’s stories that inspire her (“Train Song”) and trying to capture the feeling that inhabits places she’s been. She enjoys nothing more than putting together songwriter showcases in the Chicago-land and doing her best to uplift the beautiful arts community.
