Start of the Mawlid
What is a Mawlid? Why do we do it? - Reciting the Mawlid is a collection of poems about who the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) is - Scholars wrote mawlids in poetic forms - Speaks about noble attributes, lineage and more - Breezes of the Elect is the collection of poems we will be going over in arabic with english translation. You are welcome to join in or listen. The way the mawlid is read is there is a chorus line in the beginning that often gets repeated after each line. The daf is played. Men and women are welcome to read along or listen.
