Mat Pilates is a simple yet powerful form of movement that focuses on core strength, flexibility, and mindful breathing—done entirely on a mat, with no machines required. Created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, this method was designed to balance physical and mental health. Mat work was the foundation before machines like the Reformer were introduced.
