Nope! All students and faculty are welcome. Reach out to diego@rachelcarsoncouncil.org if you'd like to attend but are unsure if your school is in the RCC Campus Network.

I'm not very good at writing. Is this event still for me?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! All levels and styles of writing can be fine-tuned into brief, publication-worthy pieces. RCC webinars are also judgment-free spaces where we all brainstorm and experiment in an inclusive and noncompetitive environment.

Will the event be recorded?

Accepted Answer

Yes! The event will be recorded up until the breakout rooms session. However, we strongly recommend attending synchronously if you would like 1:1 mentorship, group feedback (optional), and a concrete gameplan to leave the session with a publication-worthy outline of your idea from start to finish.

Will the RCC host other events this fall?

Definitely! We are running a Fall Workshop Series through October-November and again in the Spring semester. Topics will include local government advocacy, climate cartooning, environmental justice and fellowship opportunities, lobbying, and creative writing for advocacy.
