I've been a professional photographer for over 40 years, and my journey began back in high school as the editor of my newspaper. That early passion led me to Columbia College, where I was named College Photographer of the Year. This honor paved the way for a full-time position at the Daily Southtown newspaper in Chicago and a 14-year career at the Chicago Sun-Times.
Photography has always been more than just a job for me; it's been my passport to the world, granting me a front-row seat to history. I've had the privilege of covering monumental events, from presidential elections to Michael Jordan's legendary career with the Chicago Bulls. My work has taken me around the globe, capturing weddings, human interest stories, corporate events, and celebrity portraits.
Today, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to document the most significant moments in my clients' lives. I've had the honor of photographing the weddings of Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds, Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault, La La Vasquez and Carmelo Anthony, The Bachelorette's Ashley Herbert and J.P. Rosenbaum, and many memorable events for Oprah Winfrey.
Reflecting on my career, which includes numerous accolades and projects for major publications like Time, Newsweek, and Sports Illustrated, I am filled with gratitude. My passion for photography continues to be my driving force. As a partner in Bob & Dawn Davis Photography & Design, I have the joy and honor of capturing some of the most high-profile events and weddings worldwide.
I am happily married to Dawn Davis, and together we have two wonderful children, Bobby and Alli. Photography is not just my profession—it's my passion and a source of immense joy. It's the way I tell stories and capture the essence of life's most unforgettable moments.
