Mastering DUR abstract writing: tips, tricks and reviewer insights
Overview
Mastering DUR abstract writing
This 1-hour workshop provided by Dr. Andrea Burden and Dr. Mina Tadrous will provide an engaging, practical introduction to writing high-quality scientific abstracts for drug utilization research, tailored specifically for students and early-career trainees preparing submissions for the 2026 annual ISPE meeting in Milan. In the session we will provide (1) key tips and strategies for crafting a clear, compelling, and methodologically sound abstract, and (2) insights from experienced reviewers on how abstracts are evaluated and what distinguishes those selected for oral presentations.
By the end of the session attendees will gain a better understanding of common pitfalls, effective structuring, and how to highlight the importance and rigor of their work. In addition to an interactive question and answer session, attendees be invited to pre-submit questions that can be addressed during the session.
Following the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to sign-up to submit a draft abstract and receive individualized feedback from an assigned mentor to support further refinement and readiness for conference submission.
The event requires a minimum of 8 participants to be held. Details for the log-in information and the sign-up sheet for receiving individualized feedback will be provided the week before the event.
