Instructor: Dr. Joseph Zappy, DC MSACN- Doctor Zappy holds a Master’s degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition, Board Certification in Physiotherapy, Certifications in ART, SFMA, FMS, Anatomy Trains, T=R, R2P, Massage Therapy ,and RotA in addition to his Doctorate.
Dr. Zappy is an Instructor and owner of The Wellness Institute of Chester County, a local Massage Therapy School in Exton Pa, and has worked in the Massage Therapy industry for 20+ years.
Summary:
The Contract and Relax Method is a specialized massage technique used to release tension, alleviate muscle tightness, and increase flexibility in targeted areas of the body. It is commonly used in sports massage, physical therapy, and rehabilitation settings to improve range of motion and address specific muscular imbalances.
This technique is particularly beneficial for addressing muscle tightness, trigger points, and adhesions. It can help to improve flexibility and reduce pain and discomfort caused by muscular imbalances. Moreover, the Contract and Relax Method promotes better circulation in the treated area, aiding in the removal of waste products and promoting healing.
In this class we will go beyond the basics and cover more advanced contract and relax techniques.
