In February, we have the pleasure of hosting a two day Advanced Designed Thinking workshop with Justin Ferrell. The focus will be on ongoing projects and challenges within your own companies, so the workshop will be most suitable for teams.

Program
Participants engage with the Design Thinking process and its methods in this two-day experiential workshop. The session begins with a one-to-one, hands-on learning experience that highlights the principles of human-centered design, instills creative self-efficacy, establishes the rules of effective brainstorming and reinforces the value of low-resolution, rapid prototyping.

Following this half-day crash course, participants engage in a multi-day group challenge that pushes them into the world to engage with real users. The goal of this session is to introduce the foundational tools of design thinking, and the practice and rigor of working in Adaptive Teams.

The principles of Exponential Leadership and Resilient Organizations are brought forward on the second day, as the session shifts to enabling these behaviors in others.

About Justin Ferrell
Justin Ferrell is a well-known coach and consultant to the media industry. An experienced educator and creative leader specializing in organizational culture, Justin is the former director of digital, mobile & new product design at The Washington Post, where he designed the investigative series “Angler: The Cheney Vice Presidency,” winner of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting, as well as four other Pulitzer finalists. He has led innovation sessions for organizations including Dow Jones, Facebook, Google, Nokia, NRK, The Aspen Institute, The New York Times, The United Nations, the U.S. Department of State and the World Economic Forum. He also teaches execu­tives at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and has worked with executive programs at Aalto Univer­sity (Finland), EGADE Business School (Mexico) and Massey University (New Zealand). Justin is the founder of the professional fellowship program at the Institute of Design at Stanford University (the d.school), where he also has taught graduate-level courses in design thinking and organization design.
