Master Class with Dancer Crystal Serrano
Overview
Chamber Dance Project, Washington D.C.'s premiere contemporary ballet company, is excited to continue our Master Class Series, giving pre-professional students the opportunity to work with Chamber Dance Project’s artists. The series continues on Sunday, October 19, with Dancer Crystal Serrano.
Crystal's professional career includes dancing with Oregon Ballet Theatre, guest appearances in Seoul, Korea, and Principal roles with Ballet San Antonio. She then joined Dance Theatre of Harlem under the direction of Virginia Johnson, where she spent five years as a leading Principal dancer, touring internationally, with some of her most memorable performances in Brazil, Hungary, Lithuania and Poland.
Following her tenure with Dance Theatre of Harlem, Serrano danced with Boston Ballet, further expanding her repertory and artistic range.
Crystal joined Chamber Dance Project in June of 2025, performing Ulysses Dove's Red Angels, Christian Denice's Dwellings, and the iconic Songs by Cole choreographed by Diane Coburn Bruning. Additionally, she will be joining us for our Fall 2025 season.
Students in pre-professional ballet programs at their schools are invited to join Crystal for this opportunity to take an advanced ballet class, then learn a repertoire excerpt from Chamber Dance Project’s upcoming season.
