One of the best songwriters of her generation.
Grammy-nominated American folk singer-songwriter and author Mary Gauthier crafts instantly memorable songs. She has never shied away from difficult self-exploration. Gauthier’s songs have been recorded by dozens of artists and have appeared in film and television. Her 2018 album, Rifles & Rosary Beads, co-written with military veterans and their families, has been hailed as a landmark achievement. Dark Enough to See the Stars (2022), returns Gauthier to the confessional mode of songwriting on her 2005 release, Mercy Now.
Her talent and command of her craft is undeniable.
Jaimee Harris built a devoted critical and popular following in Austin, Texas, as she fronted a slate of seasoned musicians. In 2018, Harris left her job to pursue music full time. By August, she was opening shows all over the world for Mary Gauthier. Her debut album, Red Rescue, was hailed by many as one of the top Americana albums of 2018.
Ticket price is $5 for under age 18. To reserve a youth ticket email info@sixstring.com. Payment can be made at the door on the night of the show.
