You may paint in oils, or soft pastels in this class (not oil pastels). We will explore drawing, composition, anatomy, proportion, value, color and medium application. Emphasis will be on developing form using light and shadow, seeing the figure as part of the environment. My step-by-step method will help you simplify the complicated. If you are bewildered by color or are wanting to speed up and become looser in your work, you will benefit from this class.

We will have a short photo session with the model to capture her in motion. You can use your digital camera, smart phone or iPad to photograph her. But please do not use your phone to work from in class. Use your ipad or a larger printout (letter paper size) for your reference.

Please plan on bringing cash for the $25 model fee for the workshop.
