Through spirt of community building, Angry Crab Shack presents the tradition of family friendly gatherings around the table to indulge in cultural traditions. The event focus is designed to generate family fun that engages crowds to refocus + refresh + renew within their community circles offering a collective of entertainment, attractions, games, and lots of savory food.

The Mardi Gras Festival, presented by Angry Crab Shack announces its inaugural year to celebrate its hometown community, culture and cuisine and is set to commence Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 12pm - 9 p.m. in Downtown Chandler. The special event celebrates the traditions of Mardi Gras with the heart and soul of creole flavor with an array of carnival activities and entertainment. The event will feature live jazz, blues, zydeco and contemporary swing revival bands. Guests will feel transported to the southeastern region of Louisiana with a variety of food vendors serving up regional dishes. Other highlights include themed areas, eating competitions, and family fun zones with more interactive experiences.

Do I have to show my I.D. to purchase beer or liquor?

Picture I.D. is required to purchase or consume alcohol. Your I.D. will be checked upon entrance into the event and could be checked randomly as asked throughout the event. Guests 21 years of age and older will be issued a wristband allowing alcohol purchase.

Do the food vendors accept cash or credit cards?

Not all food vendors accept Credit cards so please bring cash with you. ATM’s are available within the festival site for your convenience.

What is the cost of admission to this event?

General Admission is $7-10 pre-sale & $15 day of and $120 VIP

Is there an admission cost for children?

Children 12-years-old and under are admitted into the event for free with a paying adult.

All sales are final, there are no refunds and this is a rain or shine event.

We are pet friendly...Dogs are allowed and must be on a leash. Please clean up after your dog. We will also be hosting a pet adoption area in the pet park!

Lost and found is located at either info booth and/or the southwest entrance ticket booth.

The Chandler Fire & Police Department will be on hand to ensure your safety. Call 911 for any medical emergencies during the event.
