Welcome P.U.B Family
Dishin' Tea with D' here. Vividlifestyles-VVLS will be honoring the 42nd National Missing Children's Day throughout the entire month of May.
National Missing Children's Day is observed annually on May 25th. President Ronald Reagan proclaimed May 25th in 1983 to honor the efforts to locate missing children and to raise awareness about the issue of child abduction.
The day was established following the disappearance of Etan Patz, a 6 year-old boy who vanished from a New York City street corner in 1979.
National Missing Children's Day aims to:
Honor the efforts of individuals, organizations, and agencies involved in finding missing children
Encourage parents, guardians, and caregivers to prioritize child safety
Reunite missing children with their families
Recognize those dedicated to the cause of missing children
The day includes various activities, such as:
Distributing America's Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response (AMBER) Alerts through FEMA's Integrated Public Alert and Warning System
Holding poster contest for fifth-grade students to create posters with the theme "Bringing Our Missing Children Home"
Vividlifestyles-VVLS is teaming up with the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children and aiming to reach $10,000 by May 31st.
