For the past 15 years Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) have transformed the multi-agency response to domestic abuse across Scotland, providing a coordinated response to risk for domestic abuse victims. At the heart of MARAC is the fact that no single agency or individual can see the complete picture of the life of a victim, but all may have insights that are crucial to their safety. By sharing relevant, risk-focused information in a safe environment, a coordinated multi-agency safety plan can be developed, increasing victim safety.

To refer to MARAC, frontline staff such as healthcare workers, social workers and the police need to complete a DASH (Domestic Abuse, Stalking, Harrassment & Honour-Violence) Risk Assessement Checklist. This can seem intimidating to the untrained but is actualLy very easy to master.

Come along to one of these sessions to learn how to confidently make referrals for service users you believe are at high-risk of domestic abuse or coercive control and ensure they get the multi-agency support they need.

Sessions will cover both the administration of the DASH risk assessment form and MARAC referral form.

Sessions are free, online via MS Teams and open to anyone who works with individuals who may be affected by domestic abuse.
