Week #6: Mapping Projects: Drawing from Cartography
We will be drawing inspiration through maps. Maps are great ways to think of one's own journey - through the park, through a summer or traveling in their daily lives.
We will look at the history of mapping in the region and how the lands have shifted and changed overtime. Artists will discuss how projects also shift and change overtime.
We will draw from cartography in several ways- looking at how maps can tell stories and how stories can be strengethened by thinking about the lay of the land.
