ManuFuture at Purdue: Pivoting From Research to Implementation

We are taking the opportunity to celebrate and reflect on key lessons from this work. What did we accomplish? What worked well? What lessons should we carry forward as we move into the next phase?

A Pivot to Implementation

Our focus has been on the small and medium-sized manufacturers (SMEs) that produce half of our manufactured goods, employ 40% of the workforce, are vital for our regions, and essential for our supply chains.

This work continues, but now it’s time to pivot from a focus on government-funded research to an industry-driven implementation. This means moving from pilots to scalable programs, from insights to implementation tools. We will share our plans for the next phase of ManuFuture at Purdue.
