After you perform a Manual J heat load calculation, you still need to match the HVAC equipment to the load. There are guidelines and sizing limits for cooling sensible, latent and heating loads.

With electrification and heat pumps becoming more popular, and stricter compliance to qualify for rebates and tax credits, ACCA recently updated Manual S. In some ways, the method got more complicated. But we'll break it down, and simplify the math and other variables.
