Event description

Description

In his 2015 Encyclical Laudato Si’, “On Care for Our Common Home,” Pope Francis points to a profound connection between our relationship to the gift of creation and the nature of the human person, itself an integral part of the created order. A fully integrated human ecology, he argues, requires that we acknowledge that we too have a nature that cannot be manipulated at will lest it lead to the assumption that we also have the right to absolute control over creation as a whole.

The St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity is sponsoring a one-day symposium in order to explore this aspect of Laudato Si’ and to lay out the Catholic understanding of the nature of man and of woman.

The goal of this conference is to equip clergy, religious, pastoral ministers, educators, and lay leaders with the pastoral insights and language they need to reach out to those they serve – in love and in truth.

Registration is required.
