Join us to discuss the future of the office building within our cities and towns.
About this event
The pandemic has accelerated a shift in working habits across the globe, bringing the social, cultural and economic importance of placemaking into focus.
‘Making Place’, authored by Léan Doody, Arup Europe Integrated Cities and Planning Leader, in collaboration with IPUT Real Estate Dublin, is a timely report that proposes a new urban design practice of ‘workplacemaking’ that aims to bring together typically corporate and civic territories, to recalibrate modern office culture.
Join us for this event as we analyse what both employees and urban communities gain from working in a new type of office culture and how the office building can adapt to make a greater contribution to the social, economic and environmental resilience of our towns and cities.
The event will be moderated by Andrea Carpenter, Director, Women Talk Real Estate, and the speakers include:
- Léan Doody, Associate Director, Arup
- Lisette van Doorn, Chief Executive, ULI Europe
- Michael Meadows, Head of Planning, British Land
- Niall Gaffney, Chief Executive, IPUT Real Estate Dublin
- Tim Hyman, Group Architect, Derwent London
- Yolande Barnes, Director, Bartlett Real Estate Institute, University College London
