There are a lot less steps involved in making a frame from scratch for a painting than to make a frame for works on paper. That being said, there still are a couple of tricks that are helpful to know to make a frame by hand at a professional level. This class will teach you everything you need to get started and allow you to frame 2 paintings.

Note: Student’s will be required to provide paintings that they wish to be framed. Size limit of 24 x 36 for paintings.

Class price includes $100 in frame stock. Expensive wood such as Walnut will be available if requested. Market prices fluctuate and students will be consulted before any purchases are made for them.

To reduce the hazard sawdust poses to student’s health, all woodworking in this class will be done outside with a mask.
