Frequently asked questions

Will there be food available?

Yes! Although not included with your ticket, Lucky Nick's pizza will be serving food for the evening.

Will Omo Mercado only be open to ticketed guests?

Omo will be open for business as usual and the workshop will be held inside. Only those with a ticket to the workshop will be allowed to participate as the ticket pays for your supplies.

Will tickets be sold day of?

If there are tickets still available the day of the event and someone wants to join, that may be an option.

What if I have my own carving tools?

You're welcome to bring them but unfortunately the ticket price won't be adjusted.

If I want to bring in my own design for my print, what should I consider?

If you're new to the linocut process, it's basically carving out an image onto a block to create a stamp. We recommended bringing a design that is simple with bold lines and that is easily contrasted to ensure a smooth carving process . Note: We will be using a 4in x 6in Lino block.

Will I need to bring anything?

An open mind and a positive attitude. Aside from that, all the basic supplies for the workshop will be provided which include: a set of carving tools, one Lino block per person, ink pad, paper for your print, scratch paper, and markers/pencils.
