About this event

Makers Alley, in participation with RAC’s ARTOber, presents the Makers Open Studio Tour experience, offered to the public as a way to learn from masterful artisans and get an in depth look into their studio practice. Throughout the month of October, “mini master classes” from different artists will be offered each weekend, check out the rest of our events for more opportunities! Works are for sale and commissions are available.

Gail is a multimedia artist who draws in her own emotions as well as her past experiences to transform the everyday into works of abstract art. Learn more about Gail through her artist statement:

“Inspired by my work as a psychotherapist, my paper collages and paintings express themes of grief, resilience and the beauty that comes out of pain. I begin in the kitchen drawing food. In my studio I abstract the images, creating many transparent and opaque layers of my felt emotions. My studio is a well lit basement with 3 large tables, 3 easels, many chairs, music, wall space to hang art, and a cozy living room section where my dog sleeps on love seat while I paint.”
