Joy Kreves is a multimedia artist working with many different mediums, from drawing to scultpture. Learn more about her through her artist statement:
“My work focuses on the relationship between humans and the earth. I am an interdisciplinary artist, and my work is informed by things I read and things I experience. I have been exploring the phenomenon of glow, as in bioluminescence, in my rock-like sculptures, which I coat with some innovative color changing and glow paints. I will show you some of these materials and effects. My latest exploration is to document agitated and intention-directed water. In this October studio visit I will demonstrate how I've been creating these "water drawings.”
