About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Whether you already consider yourself an avid reader or would like to become one, a reading journal is a great way to enhance your reading experience. In this _Make Your Own Reading Journal_ class, participants will explore the world of reading journals and learn why many book lovers choose to keep one. The class will cover examples of popular journal elements, such as book reviews, book bingos, and series trackers, and will also provide guidance on where to look for additional inspiration.

Attendees will learn about the benefits of reflecting on their reading experiences, how to connect with the online bookish community, and explore ways to access books while supporting authors. After the discussion, participants will have the opportunity to create their own personalized reading journal, with a journal, craft supplies, and book-themed stickers and ephemera provided as part of the class.

About the teacher:

Natasha Moreland lives in Chattanooga with her husband and two big, goofy dogs, where she strives to balance her passions. She has always loved outdoor adventures and a variety of crafty hobbies, and is often torn between heading outside to climb, bike, or hike or staying in to work on a creative project. She also writes The Present Pursuit, a Substack newsletter where she shares her thoughts on books, tarot, and whatever's on her mind. Whether climbing mountains or journaling at her desk, Natasha is always in pursuit of her next adventure.
