Make Your Own Korean Gimbap Workshop with Lisa Nho
Overview
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Learn the art of gimbap! Participants will learn to make Korean sushi rolls called "gimbap" while learning about Korean cuisine along the way. Korean gimbap is distinctive from Japanese sushi because Gimbap rolls can be filled with various vegetables and/or beef.
Popularized recently by K-pop Demon Hunters, come have some fun and learn about Korean street food! We'll have some festive K-pop Demon Hunter elements with music and costume, and various instant ramyuns and Korean snacks will be provided to accompany the gimbap so you can power up for the weekend.
MEET THE MAKER:
Lisa Nho is a fiber artist based out of Rockville, Maryland. She first started learning the art of macrame and weaving to get out of the tired rut of her desk job. It became a wonderful way to unwind and let out her creative energies that were stunted from working in front of a laptop all day. She is now expanding into the world of cuisine by teaching this Korean gimbap class to showcase her skills in the kitchen.
If you want to get away momentarily from your day-to-day and want to find a safe soothing space, let's get together, share stories, craft and create just to enjoy ourselves!
