Make Your Own Double-Walled Mate Cups with Mark Lester

Join us for Handbuilding Double-Walled Matte Pottery Cups with Mark Lester, a special workshop where you’ll learn to create beautifully crafted, double-walled vessels perfect for hot beverages. Mark will guide you through the handbuilding process step-by-step, teaching you how to form an insulating inner wall that keeps your drink warm while the outer layer stays cool and comfortable to hold. This class is great for all skill levels and offers a relaxing, creative way to make a functional piece you’ll use every day.

The Aftermath:

After your class, we will be processing your works in our studio. First, the piece must be allowed to get ‘bone dry’, then it will be fired to bisque ware. Then one of our studio techs will glaze your work for you based on the color you’ve chosen, and then it will be put back on the shelves to await the next glaze firing. Please allow two to four weeks lead times. Disclaimer: Mercado Art Studio can store your works for up to two weeks after your first notification, and our staff will send you up to two courtesy reminder texts, but after two weeks, all unclaimed works will be donated.
