Create your own functional digital clock while learning how software and hardware work together in this hands-on workshop!


In this workshop, you will:

  • Build a digital clock using a Pi Pico 2 and OLED display (I2C)
  • Learn how microcontrollers interact with hardware through programming
  • Wire and prototype circuits using a breadboard, jumper wires, and pin headers
  • Explore how ultrasonic sensors can add interactive features
  • Gain an introduction to embedded systems and physical computing

What to bring:

  • A laptop (recommended) for viewing and following along with the programming demonstration

What we provide:

  • Pi Pico 2
  • OLED display (I2C)
  • Breadboards
  • Male pin headers
  • Jumper wires
  • Additional electronic components

No prior experience required
