About this event

In this 2- or 4-day class (details below), learn what's involved in building cabinets, including box construction, face frames, drawers, slides, doors, and hardware like hinges and knobs. We'll show you how to use the tools needed and the Rockler Jigs designed specifically for cabinet making. You’ll see the process firsthand because you will build your very own cabinet! We supply you with all of the supplies, instruction, and tools. Please contact store prior to signing up for full details of class days and times available. The cabinet builtin the class features faceframe construction, one raised-panel door, and one drawer.

Dates & Times:

  • 9/23 class meets on four days: Tuesday, 9/23 through Friday, 9/26, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM each day.

Frequently asked questions

Are there any age restrictions for this class?

This class requires the use of power tools, which requires the attendee to be 14 years or older. Attendees below 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian throughout the entire class. If a parent or legal guardian is required to attend, only 1 ticket is required.

Do I need any safety equipment or special clothing?

Safety glasses or face shields, hearing protection, gloves, and dust respirators will be provided free of charge as needed. No loose clothing should be worn, long sleeves should be rolled up, long hair should be tied back. No open-toed shoes can be worn during classes.

I'm interested in a class that is not scheduled, do you offer custom classes based on my interests?

If you are interested in a private class, custom class tailored to your specific needs, or a special group class, please call your local store and speak directly to a Manager. We'll do our very best to meet your requirements while providing a great experience.
