Meet the Instructors: Eboni and Frank James

Eboni and Frank James are the dynamic duo behind Command & Counsel, a boutique consulting firm empowering small businesses to scale smartly, lead boldly, and operate with confidence.
Eboni James is a seasoned attorney and business strategist with deep expertise in contracts, compliance, and organizational growth. She currently serves as Litigation and Safety Counsel at Lyft Inc. and teaches Contract Drafting and Management as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tennessee College of Law.
Frank James brings over a decade of experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Organizational Development—from his service as a U.S. Army Captain to his leadership roles in the private sector.
Together, the Jameses also own and operate Kids Cove Drop-In Child Care, East Tennessee’s only 7-day-a-week flexible childcare center—proof that they don’t just advise business owners, they are business owners.
Through Command & Counsel, they deliver real-world guidance to help entrepreneurs tackle HR challenges, avoid legal pitfalls, and confidently scale their companies.
