A Fulbright Speaker Series Event

Join the Fulbright Association for a special edition of its Fulbright Speaker Series: Make AI Work for YOU. This timely discussion will explore how artificial intelligence is shaping our world—and how you can harness it thoughtfully and effectively in your own professional and personal life.

This 60-minute in-person event will take place at Florida International University and will be recorded and broadcast to the Fulbright community. Participants will hear from two thought leaders in AI who will demystify the technology, offer practical guidance, and highlight real-world use cases.

What to Expect

This event will provide attendees with a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence and showcase practical tools to help professionals integrate AI into their work, learning, and creativity.

Dr. Emmanuel J. Dorley will explain the theoretical foundations of AI—what it can and cannot do—and lead a discussion on the mechanisms behind its behavior. He will introduce techniques like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Chain-of-Thought Prompting, which can reduce AI “hallucinations” and improve model reliability. Dr. Dorley will also discuss how AI agents can support personalized learning and soft-skill development.

Dr. Nadia Delanoy will share practical, hands-on examples of how AI tools can be applied in academia and creative work. She will explore how educators, researchers, and professionals can use AI to streamline research, generate content, and improve efficiency. Her talk will also address common misconceptions about AI in education and propose strategies for integrating AI into digital literacy and leadership practices across diverse contexts.
