A multitude of policies and frameworks have been proposed for responding to the new opportunities and challenges posed by GenAI in the higher education sector. Nonetheless, significant evidence suggests that students (over-)utilise GenAI whereas most educators are overwhelmed by it.

This workshop promises to offer a fresh perspective on how to facilitate students' responsible use of GenAI while maintaining assessment effectiveness in light of insights from the long-standing human-machine interaction literature.
