What to expect
- In this workshop, Henry the Snail (with assistance from Twin Cities artist Z Akhmetova) will guide you to slow down and create a postcard to mail to a friend, loved one, local government representative, or anyone you think should receive some good old fashioned snail mail.
- Art supplies, stamps, and prompts for writing, drawing, and reflection are all provided
- The only thing you need to bring is a willingness to reach out and connect.
More about Z Akhmetova
Z Akhmetova is an artist, educator, part-time librarian, and friend to animals and bugs, based in Saint Paul, MN. Their creative work spans include the natural worlds and the creatures that live there. You can visit these worlds with Z through sketch, textile art, zines, and comics. Z is the author and illustrator of Anchorhold, a 50-page queer historical science fiction comic. Whether stitching, drawing, or storytelling, their work reflects a deep attention to the natural world and queer histories.
