In partnership with the NYC Department of Probation’s Neighborhood Opportunity Network (NeON), The Made in New York Animation Project (TAP), is offering New Yorkers (ages 15-24) with virtual career readiness programming in animation. Each participant will receive 14 hours per week of incentivized sessions with the goals of engagement, connection, creative exploration, education, career development and networking.

The program will run July 10th-August 17th, 2023.

Earn up to $1,260 in 6 weeks!

Participants will be incentivized at $15/hour for a total of 14 hours per week of programming. Participants will only be paid for sessions they attend. If a participant attends every session (14 hours per week for 6 weeks) they will be incentivized the maximum amount of $1,260.

Eligibility:

1. Participants must be 15-24 years of age as of July 10, 2023

2. Eligible Participants must reside in the following 7 neighborhoods: East New York, Brownsville, Bed Stuy, Northern Staten Island, South Bronx and Jamaica

3. Eligible participants must be available Monday-Thursday from July 10th-August 17th, for 3.5 hours per day between 9:30am and 3:30pm for a total of 14 hours per week.

4. Eligible participants must have access to zoom and be able to use their camera and microphone

The Made in NY Animation Project is a program of the NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment in partnership with the Neighborhood Opportunity Network (NeON) and The Animation Project (TAP).

TAP is a non-profit therapeutic workforce development program unlocking the professional and creative door for NYC young people with drive and nascent animation talent. TAP develops New York City youth for the local animation industry through software training and prepares them with personal and professional development.
