Day 1: Instruction about how to knit a garment in the machine

Day 1: Knitting of the front piece and partly the back piece

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Day 2: Finishing of the back piece

Day 2: Closing of the shoulder and side seams

Get to know an industrial knitting machine and create your first Top or Vest!

THIS WORKSHOP IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WITH BASIC KNOWLEDGE ABOUT A KNITTING MACHINE!

In this workshop, we will use our basic knowledge about the knitting machine and we will knit a summer top or a sweater top.

You will learn how to do a waistband, how do decrease stitches and how to knit a neckhole with the collar band. In the end you will habe a finished piece.

All the material is provided. The workshop is in person and will last 5 hours on two days. Each day from 10:00 am - 15:00 pm. The workshop is on the whole weekend.

The course will be hold in German and English.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the workshop take place?

The workshop will take place in our atelier.

How do we find the atelier ?

The atelier is a bit hidden, that's why we will pick up all participants at the front entrance of Alte Münze.

Are there parking possibilities ?

The best way to come is by public transport (U - Rotes Rathaus, S-/U-Alexanderplatz or S-/U-Jannowitzbrücke are the closest). If you come by car, the best parking possibilities are at "Rolandufer" or "Klosterstraße".

Are the materials provided ?

Yes, the materials are provided. If you have a favorite yarn at home, you can also bring them and we can test if it works on the knitting machine

Is there an elevator in the building ?

Unfortunately there is no elevator, the only access to our studio is by stairs.

I'm Anaelle - designer, bespoke tailor and enthusiastic machine knitter. I have a brand with focus on knitwear pieces with special pattern, experimental materials and structures and alsways with a high sensitivity towards sustainability. In my workshops I will teach the basics of a knitting machine, the diffrent types of knitting machines and teach you how to use them.The courses are beginner friendly and you can start from zero experience up to knitting your own sweater.
