MA Creative Industries 25/26 Presents: Open Studio

The MA Creative Industries invites you to an Open Studio on the evening of 3 December from 5:00-7:00 PM. The event will be held at the 1st floor lobby of Thornlea Alexander Building, New North Road, EX4 4LA.

As part of the Idea Generation and the Creative Process module, students have been set the challenge to create a project with Ukrainian entrepreneurs in the UK. The group must work collaboratively as well as manage the complex logistics of developing a conceptual business solution culminating in a business pitch.

The Open Studio will be an opportunity for students to showcase their work in progress in concert. A small reception at the door will provide drinks and nibbles. The event operates on a drop-in basis, feel free to pop-in/pop-out anytime as long as you have your free ticket!

Context: As part of Idea Generation and the Creative Process module, every year MA Creativity students are set the challenge to use design-thinking methodology to create a novel concept for a product or service that could benefit a Ukrainian entrepreneur in the UK. Working with different stakeholders, they were given a challenge to propose sustainable practices, whilst cultivating a sense of belonging and creativity in the prospective customers. Four groups worked collaboratively as well as managed the complex logistics of developing a conceptual business solution culminating in a business pitch and a demonstration of a prototype to be tested.
