Special! LushNature Hawk Watch and Point Count.
That’s right, instead of the usual nature walk and bird count, during the peak of migration, we will be meeting for a Hawk Watch Point Count right in San Francisco at the Golden Gate Bridge overlook: A coastal lookout deck with spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Pacific Ocean, and the Presidio and the Bay.
Bring a comfy chair that you can recline back in to use your binoculars to scan the skies for all the raptors cruising by, keeping our fingers crossed for bald eagle and peregrine falcon. Help us count the hundreds of pelicans flying by, and the other birds low across the water or swimming. Go down to the edge of the cliff and see which Marine Mammals bask in the sunlight.
