Lunch & Learn: Setting Goals To Improve Your Career
Overview
Participants will use active listening to summarize a peer's idea at least twice") that lead to those goals, often following the SMART framework (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) to ensure clarity and track success in areas like skill-building, problem-solving, or collaboration.
Participants will be able to review how they set works goals and why and or why not they are effective.
Participants will review these three examples of work goals are:
1. To learn a new skill
2. Improve a soft skill like communication or emotional intelligence,
3. And review a specific, measurable outcome, such as how increasing work by a certain percentage can be useful.
These examples cover different aspects of professional growth, from skill acquisition to interpersonal development and performance targets.
Handouts will be provided.
