As many of you know, ISIS attempted to establish a Caliphate in Marawi as their hold slipped in Iraq and Syria. While the local Muslim population band together to protect their Christian neighbors from persecution by ISIS, the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police stalled and repelled the advancing forces.

While largely successful, these efforts have come at a great cost.

As the dust settles, the degree of damage to the local infrastructure and the massive extent of the refugee crisis have become clearer. Now, more than ever, the population of Marawi needs our support.

Please join Impl. Project Founder and Executive Director Justin Richmond, Philippine Ambassador to Iraq Elmer Cato, and Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association speaker Dan Jimenez for a set of informative presentations and discussion on the topics of stability, humanitarian relief, and reconstruction in Marawi and Mindanao.

The Lunch & Learn will take place July 29th, 2017 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Lumpia, Pansit Atbp and includes a buffet style lunch of traditional Filipino food.

Tickets are $50 and all proceeds raised during this event contribute directly to supporting ongoing programming in Marawi and Mindanao.
