YAAA is pleased to have Judge Angela C. Robinson (Ret.) join us to discuss the principles of Critical Race Theory. Judge Robinson is a Yale Law School-educated, Equity Advocate who applies her education, training, and skills to resolve conflict. Whether the conflict involves diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work or requires the skills of an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) professional, Judge Robinson will lead the discussion and explain how Critical Race Theory impacts our community.
Judge Angela C. Robinson (Ret.) is a Yale Law School educated, Equity Advocate. She applies her education, training and skills to resolve conflict, whether the conflict involves diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) work, or requires the skills of an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) professional. Robinson was a Connecticut Superior Court judge for twenty years. Before and after that time, she practiced law as a plaintiff’s trial attorney in a nationally renowned, boutique practice in Bridgeport, CT and as a litigation partner with a civil defense practice in a preeminent multi-state law firm based in New Haven, CT. Robinson also teaches Critical Race Theory to law students, and to laypeople through her private consulting practice. She found her calling by utilizing her understanding of the legal system and the principles of Critical Race Theory to promote and facilitate fair and equitable, accord and peaceful resolutions. Robinson is an honors graduate of Cheshire Academy. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University- Douglass College (Phi Beta Kappa) and her law degree from Yale University School of Law. Robinson is a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation and serves on several boards. Professor Robinson is counsel with Halloran and Sage, LLP, where she has a mediation practice and is the Waring and Carmen Partridge Faculty Fellow and Visiting Professor at Quinnipiac University School of Law. She also has a private diversity-related coaching and consulting through Robinson Diversity Consulting, LLC.
