Event description

From arriving undocumented from Mexico to the Central Valley in Madera, to receiving her Ph.D. this past May for Quantitative and Systems Biology from UC Merced, Yuriana Aguilar, is the definition of #LatinaPower and #SiSePuede.

From the comfort of your computer, hear about her remarkable journey, all the challenges along the way and what has maintained her so focused, despite being undocumented.

This mother of adorable one year old Victoria, will share with us what initially got her interested in a STEM career and how that initial interest evolved, who her champions were along the way and how she managed to stay the course, despite her detractors.

You will have an opportunity to ask Yuriana questions, or you can send them via email ahead of time.

It will be the most inspirational webinar you have ever attended!

(Please, officially sign up in order to receive the call in details 48 hours before the webinar takes place)

This is a Latina Success Network (LSN) Tech & Science Talk Series for 2016.
