Join us for afternoon Lowkey Artist talks at Manny’s. We will engage guests from a plethora of artistic backgrounds in an insightful and memorable conversation around the process of creating and living as an Artist in our modern world.
Our guest today is author Daniel Handler.
Daniel Handler is an American author, musician, and screenwriter, best known for writing the 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' books under the pseudonym Lemony Snicket. He also writes under his own name, has authored adult novels like The Basic Eight, and is a musician who plays the accordion for the band The Magnetic Fields. Handler is a native of San Francisco.
Interviewed by Jordan Kurland, a 30-year San Francisco resident, co-founder and partner at Brilliant Corners Artist Management, representing acclaimed artists such as Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service and more . A partner at Noise Pop Industries and co-founder of the groundbreaking Treasure Island Music Festival (2007–2018), Kurland also serves on the boards of McSweeney’s, the Stern Grove Festival, and Seattle’s KEXP.
