Love Letters in the Form of Art: A Frequency
Overview
Love Letters in the Form of Art: A Frequency is an exhibition by artist Bex Hill, presented at the Department of Creative Pursuits in Denver, in collaboration with Chicago-based artist Amuse126.
Rooted in transformation and energetic exchange, this body of work invites viewers to experience how love moves through and remakes us. It explores how connection, intention, and words alter energy and the unseen imprints we leave on one another. Each participant was photographed using aura photography, a biofeedback based process that translates the body’s energy into color and form, both before and after hearing a personalized love letter written and read to them by Hill. The resulting “after” portraits reveal how love expands the field, shifts color, and transforms presence into something seen and felt. These portraits inspired paintings that carry those frequencies into another form, translating emotion and connection through color, texture, and movement with the artistry of Amuse126.
This exhibition honors members of Denver’s creative community, friends and fellow artists whose presence has helped shape and inspire this work. It reflects that same love back into the community and collective, revealing how intention, vulnerability and the act of being seen can shift our shared frequency.
Bex Hill expresses deep gratitude to the RiNo Arts District, Ignite Your Aura, Department of Creative Pursuits, Amuse126, Topo Chico, Alley Cats Denver, We Never Really Die Studios, and Mile High Spirits for their support in bringing this vision to life.
