LOVE IN MOTION Community Dance Classes
Overview
• Sliding scale $10-25/per person/per class; limited tickets at each price tier

• Open to adults of all ethnicities, sizes, genders, and movement experience.
• Optional no-host social hour after class!
Teacher Bio:
Angela Dee Alforque grew up in a first-generation FilipinoAmerican family in South Sacramento; completed her B.A. & M.A. at Sacramento State University; and earned her Ed.D from Saint Mary’s College of California. “Dr. A” served as Performing Arts Director for Parker School in Hawai`i; Sacramento City College Theatre & Film professor; and adjunct faculty for the Sacramento State Department of Theatre & Dance.
A Sacramento-grown cultural artist, she trained and performed with Ebo Okokán Afro-Cuban Drum & Dance; Sinag-tala Filipino Theater Ensemble; and Kūhai Hālau O Kaponookalani Pā `Ōlapa Kahiko. She works in arts and entertainment administration; directs/choreographs for various projects; and serves as a Guiding Matriarch for Matriarchy Theatre.
With experience in arts education and tv/film casting, she now is building LOVE IN MOTION, a series of community-rooted classes, mentorship opportunities, and interdisciplinary collaborations with local artists. Angela enjoys living in Midtown with her husband, poet & musician Mario Ellis Hill; spending time with their daughter and family; and attending live performances and events.
