Lost Wax Ring Workshop with Tash Terra

Have you ever dreamed of making your own jewelry? In this 4-hour workshop, jewelry artist and metalsmith Tash Terra will guide you through the ancient art of lost wax carving to create a ring that’s uniquely yours at Lucky Penny in Long Beach.

You’ll learn to carve and shape a wax model using professional tools and techniques, and make your very own ring. After class, your wax will be cast in the metal of your choice — brass, bronze, or silver — and finished into a wearable, one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.

• Metal Casting Costs:
  Please note that the casting fee is not included in the class price and will be collected separately via Venmo. Cost is based on the weight of your wax:
• Brass/bronze ranges from $30–$40
• Silver ranges from $40–$80
• To keep costs manageable and to ensure a comfortable fit, your ring should not exceed 1g of wax weight.

Your finished ring will be ready for pickup or shipping within 2 weeks after the workshop. You’ll walk away with the skills to understand wax carving, metalsmithing basics, and a ring you designed and created yourself!
