Developing Reading and Use of English Skills at C1

This seminar focuses on the development of advanced reading comprehension and language use skills required at C1 level. It examines the main text types and task formats characteristic of this level, with particular emphasis on strategies for processing complex texts, identifying key ideas, and interpreting implicit meaning.

In addition, the seminar addresses the consolidation of advanced grammar and vocabulary, focusing on common areas of difficulty at C1, such as word formation, collocations, phrasal verbs, and appropriate register use. A range of pedagogical approaches and practical techniques will be presented to enhance accuracy, flexibility, and overall linguistic competence in contextualised tasks.

Through the analysis of examples and guided activities, participants will be provided with effective tools to approach Reading and Use of English tasks at C1 with greater confidence and success.
