Imagine hundreds of people dining together at a table outdoors, enjoying dishes from a diverse range of homes, or carryout food from local restaurants. That's exactly what will be happening at The Longest Table Kent event!
On Sunday, Aug. 3, The Longest Table Kent will be held on the W. Main St. bridge from 5-7pm. This will be a BIG community dinner, with 40 tables and 260 chairs lined up across the bridge. We provide the tables and chairs. You provide the people, food and table settings!
Each table will have a captain who coordinates the meal for a party of 6, to include main course, side dishes, desserts, beverages, table cloths, centerpieces if desired, plateware, utensils, and whatever else you'd like!
NOTE: Please only order ONE free ticket for a table of six people. Just let us know if you have extra seats so we can connect you with others wishing to participate.
Alcoholic beverages may be purchased at nearby businesses in DORA cups; no outside alcohol will be permitted.
Each table captain should invite 5 guests to join them at their table, or let event organizers know ASAP if they have empty seats by emailing info@mainstreetkent.org. We will connect you with anyone who wants to attend, but does not yet have a group!
If you want to attend but do not need a whole table, please email us at info@mainstreetkent.org and we will connect you with guests who have extra seats at their table.
