Local's Christmas Party with Sugar Bucket at Cape Cod Beer
Overview
Whether you’re celebrating that your holiday prep is officially DONE… or avoiding the fact that you haven’t even started yet… this party is for you.
Take a breather from the holiday madness and kick back with us at our Local’s Christmas Party!
Join us on Saturday, December 20th, from 6–9pm for a night of cold beer, festive vibes, and live music from Sugar Bucket, who will be keeping the energy high and the spirits bright. And don’t even think about cooking because Red River BBQ will be here serving up smoky, delicious comfort food all night long!
Free entry, open to everyone!
RSVP if you want, but it’s not required — and we promise we won’t be checking residency at the door. If you’re here, you’re local enough for us.
Need a last-minute gift? We’ve got beer to go, plenty of merch, and lots of locally made products in our retail store. It’s basically holiday multitasking… with a pint in hand.
And don’t forget: Cape Cod Beer will close for the holidays starting December 24th, so this is your chance to stock up, say cheers, and celebrate with the Brew Crew before we take our winter break!
See you at the brewery for a well-earned pause from the holiday hustle!
About the Band:
Pioneers of what many are calling dunebilly-disco, or shantygrass, is the polymorphous, multi-instrumental roots band Sugarbucket. Formed under duress and as a means to cleanse the transgressions of their bewildered spectators, Sugarbucket marries the sounds of bluegrass, roots, funk and disco with the most intimate songs of childhood into a holy conglomeration of rhapsody.
Under a layer of rich vocal harmony guitarist Beau Heimuth engineers a locomotive rhythm as double bassist Billy Fitzgibbon holds down the bottom end on that ol’ caboose. C. Cooter Pickens churns the banjo like hot butter running o’er a stack of Mammy’s buttermilk flapjacks. The primeval beat wrought by skinsmen Lukie “AlflooFalu” Peppers and Rich Musk will send your demons a-packin’. Johnny Huge lays down the tracks with a lush carpet of sultry dobro all while mandolinist Chippy Bottoms fires anything that burns into the iron beast called Sugarbucket.
